Bleckley Dobbs

Financial Advisor

Bleckley earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. After working at 3M as a chemical engineer for twenty years, Bleckley decided to follow his passion to become a financial planner. In 2004, he completed the coursework for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner designation at the University of Texas and started working as a financial planner. Bleckley later earned the designation of Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®).

Bleckley and his wife Sharon have been married for thirty-five years. They have two grown daughters. Bleckley and Sharon are members of St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church where they lead the Young Families Sunday School class and Bleckley is chairman of the Endowment Committee. He has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association for 17 years, where he has held many leadership positions in the Austin chapter, including president. Bleckley’s hobbies include golf and swimming.
