Nelly Mubashi

Chief Executive Officer

Nelly has over 18 years of experience in wealth management, corporate retirement plans, financial services, and business management. Before co-founding NWAM, LLC in the summer of 2008, Nelly was a Financial Advisor at UBS Financial Services and prior to that a Financial Advisor at Piper Jaffray & Co.


As CEO, Nelly directs the firm’s overall strategic plan, business growth and oversees all business units. The goal of the firm is to bring together likeminded individuals/firms from across the US and provide a platform where advisors and their clients can take advantage of economies of scale, technology, pricing power and service.


Nelly is committed to retaining and recruiting great talent in the industry. The aspect that Nelly enjoys most about her job is the team of people she gets to work with. The common goal is to create efficient operational, financial, compliance, and technological processes to ensure the firm provides great service to its clients.


Nelly is proud to have a 42% women/minority representation. The firm’s goals for the years to come are to continue to grow and continue to attract talented advisors and staff. Over the next few years, the firm aims to increase the women/minority representation to 50%.


Nelly is also committed to helping her community. Nelly is on the board of directors for Plymouth Housing, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing permanent supportive housing to the homeless population in the area. Nelly is also an active board member of The Perfect Push Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering the underserved and at-risk to address maternal and fetal mortality in their communities here in the United States and around the world.

Nelly is also a founding member of the 55ip Innovators Council which functions as an advisory board to 55iP a fintech company.
